Development Matters
Development Matters is a guidance framework used in Early Years education to support children’s learning and development from birth to age five. It outlines the key areas of development, including communication and language, physical development, and personal, social, and emotional growth, alongside early literacy and mathematics. In our school, it helps teachers plan meaningful activities, observe progress, and ensure each child is supported at their own pace, building strong foundations for a smooth transition into formal learning.
